VIVEK KAPOOR
Founder
The man with a clear vision, Vivek is one of the strongest forces behind the success and growth of TownConnect. His leadership qualities and abilities to guide and coordinate the functioning of a team as big as this is what sets him apart from all the others. With a master’s degree in Computer Science, Vivek has held several leadership positions in some of the biggest and the leading tech companies like Oracle, Sun Microsystems Cisco, NetApp, Deloitte, etc. before starting TownConnect. A sports enthusiast, he enjoys cricket in his free time and love spending time with his family.
MAHAMBA CHIPUTA
Director
A Rhodes Business School alumnus, Mahamba has over 14 years’ experience in corporate administration, entrepreneurship, business development and project
management. Formerly at Intertek Caleb Brett Plc as Country Manager for Zambia, he has transformed into a serial entrepreneur with a growing penchant for investment. His business interests span agriculture, construction, technology and mining.
His other leadership roles include membership on a few boards of directors of private companies and civil society organisations in Zambia including one at continental and another at global level. He is an ardent soccer fan and a fervent supporter of Luena Buffaloes FC in the Zambia Super League and Arsenal FC in the English Premier
League.
ERIC OKERO
Director
Eric Okero has over 12 years’ experience in the business world with interests in the fields of experiential marketing, restaurant consultancy, sports and events management. He has worked with some of the biggest brands in the country such as KPLC, Safaricom, UNEP, CGIAR, Duero Agencies, Esgray group, Kenya Rugby Union, Abbotsford Rugby, COTU among others. With a knack in building leading and lasting brands in Kenya and wider East Africa, he brings to the table a wealth of experience coupled with hands on expertise in managing teams and executing projects.
He is an ardent fan of rugby both locally and internationally having played and represented the country in the 15’s format of the game.
SUMEET SONI
Chief Technology Officer
Performance driven individual who has a heavy background in information, communcations and technology fields as well as a great experience in the hospitality/family entertainment industry.
Having been Head of Operations in Kenya’s largest Family Entertainment Centers, Funscapes East Africa and being a software Engineer at one of Kenya’s top software solutions company Techno Brain, Sumeet Soni is a key Juggernaut for heavy operational institutions with the large involvement in the latest computer technology.
Sumeet is also an enterpreneur, harnessing the power of the latest developing technology such as Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality adding a little more spark to our digital world.
BRENDA CIIRU NDIRANGU
Marketing and Customer Service Executive
An adaptable, “take-charge” individual with a focus on outstanding customer service and a talent for feedback interpretation and problem resolver. Your “go-to” hands-on person.
Having been head of one of the Independent Mobile Money Transfer company’s customer service department in the country, Brenda has experience in managing large teams and problem-solving.
Brenda is also am event management exoert with a specialty in Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions
